Noreen Grahame opened grahame galleries + editions in 1987. The gallery specialises in fine art prints, artists’ books and other works on paper.

artists’ books + multiples fairs
Since 1994 grahame galleries + editions has organised five international artists’ books fairs in Australia.
Centre for the Artist Book
The gallery houses the Centre for the Artist Book, a collection of over 550 artists’ books by international artists including Dieter Roth and Ed Ruscha and by numerous Australian artists. Works from the collection are being uploaded to the site.
Exhibitions, both within Australia and overseas are drawn from the collection. In 1999, as part of the Australian Olympic Arts Festival, an exhibition of Australian artists’ books was shown as part of Bernheim invite l’Australie at the Bernheim Bibliothèque in Noumea, New Caledonia.
In 2006 a small selection of international and Australian artists’ books from the collection was exhibition in the Research Library of the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
In February 2008, at the invitation of the Australian Commerce and Industry Office in Taiwan, artists’ books by Australian artists were exhibited at the Australian stand at the 2008 Taipei International Book Exhibition (TIBE).

The publishing arm, numero uno publications, was established in 1994 to publish artists’ books, catalogues and editions.
